From Research to Reality

IoA-8Lab originates from over a decade of research at the Mao Laboratory, University of Yamanashi. Focusing on computer vision, deep learning, robotics, augmented reality, and cyber-physical systems, the work began with table grape vineyards in Yamanashi and expanded to industrial, medical, and service domains.

This research foundation is not just history — it is the active source of IoA-8Lab's competitive rigor. With ongoing publications and patent filings, we translate research insights into production systems that work in the field.

Co-Founder / CTO

PhD in Systems Integration Engineering from the University of Yamanashi (Mao Laboratory). Over a decade of hands-on experience spanning computer vision, deep learning, robotics, AR, and industrial AI. 14 journal papers, 17 conference papers, 7 patents. Leads all technical architecture and research direction.

Daisuke Inoue
Co-Founder / CEO

From the Mao Laboratory at the University of Yamanashi. Handles business operations, client relations, and Japan-side communications. Co-author on multiple published papers in AR and agricultural robotics.

Prof. Mao Xiaoyang
Co-Founder / Academic Advisor

Professor at the University of Yamanashi and supervisor of the Mao Laboratory. Provides academic oversight, research direction, and university–industry bridge. Named inventor on multiple patents underlying IoA-8Lab technology.

Koji Mitsui
Co-Founder / Business Advisor
